A Fieldtrip to the Sawmill

I got the Pecan logs delivered to the mill. I'd like to say loading the logs was an easy task, but I'd be fibbing. These logs weigh in around 2,916 pounds a piece. So loading them was a bit of a task. But as Matthew Agate always says "We'll get through it", and I did get through it. once the logs were delivered off loading them was a piece of cake. A few days later we were ready to mill. This video takes you on the journey with me.

There will be a follow up video on this topic showing a more detailed view of the boards cut from these tree logs, as well as the stacking, snicker and setting up for the drying period
